Break-tip ampoule packs
Single-dose plastic ampoule packs for liquid food and cosmetic products. A formed body and narrow break-off neck support product dispensing.
Pack structure and opening
This format has a formed plastic body, a narrow neck and an integral break-off tip. The body holds the product until the tip is opened.
Breaking the tip exposes the neck for dispensing. The opening is at the neck, unlike the central opening in a folded card or the peeled lid of a portion cup.
Food and cosmetic applications
Ampoule geometry is selected around the liquid, target portion and intended dispensing method. A photograph of one filling does not limit the format to that product.
Food
Olive oil, balsamic vinegar and other liquid food preparations are example applications for assessment.
Cosmetics
Serums and care oils are example applications. Formula flow and packaging compatibility are evaluated before defining the fill specification.
Project parameters
Body shape, neck geometry, target fill quantity and material structure are developed together. The opening and dispensing behaviour form part of the sample assessment.

Questions about this format
Is this the same opening system as a fold-to-open card?
No. An ampoule opens at its narrow break-off neck. A card opens at a central line when folded; the two formats use different pack structures.
Can the ampoule format be used for both oil and serum?
Both can be assessed as possible fillings. Material compatibility, flow and fill quantity must be defined for each formulation.
